The Shoestring Film Fest is a contest where SCSU students can submit their own short film creation, made using a digital video camera and Apple iMovie software.  The short film can be about anything the students choose. Some suggestions include:

  • Curricular Integration (integrating a video into course work)
  • Technology “How-to” videos (example: how to prevent viruses, how to keep your password secure, etc)
  • What do you like best about SCSU?

Log in to SCSU's iTunesU site to view video submissions from this year and previous year competitions.

Kick-Off Event

Entry Submission Deadline

Main Event (public screening & judging)

 

 

March 13, 2008 (4pm to 6pm)

April 18, 2008 (4pm)

April 24, 2008 (6pm to 8pm)

 

 

Contest entry is free and open to all SCSU students (faculty & staff may enter, but are not eligible for prizes). Prizes will be awarded to early submitters, winners of the contest and members of the audience at the public screening to take place 6 p.m. April 24 in the Miller Center auditorium.

Filmmakers:
 Entries must be submitted to the Computer Store by 4 p.m. April 18.

Film Fest Audience:
Pick up a VIP voucher at the Computer Store prior to noon on April 24, to be eligible to win prizes at the final screening.
