SCSU Dial-up Access for Faculty and Staff
SCSU provides off-campus dial-up services to faculty and staff. Dial-up
services provide access to:
- Internet: Web browsing, research, chat, etc.
- HuskyNet e-mail via Outlook
Web Access
- SCSU Library Proxy: MnPALS, databases and electronic
journals
- D2L online courses
- SCSU File//Web Space
NOTE: Student Dial-up Access was discontinued on June 30, 2007.
The Student Technology Fee Committee voted to discontinue funding it due
to low use and the expense of the service. Information for accessing a new
provider is available on the Internet

Access to Dial-up
Dial-up access is available through a local call in St. Cloud and surrounding
areas, as well as the Twin Cities and other locations in Minnesota.

Requirements
To use dial-up services provided by SCSU, you
must:
• Be a current faculty or staff member at SCSU.
• Have a valid HuskyNetID. If you do not have this
yet, please Activate
Your HuskyNetID.
• Have your own computer with a modem installed and
configured.
The SCSU Computer Store can
sell you a modem if you do not have one. The HelpDesk can
assist you with troubleshooting and configuration.
Configuration and Instructions
SCSU-provided antivirus software
SCSU provides Symantec AntiVirus software for all current students, faculty
and staff. Computers with this software installed will receive automatic
antivirus updates as long as you are enrolled or employed at St. Cloud
State University. Download Symantec AntiVirus through the Safe
Computing site.
