Requirements
In order to configure for and use wireless services provided by SCSU, you must:
- Be on campus
- Be a current student, faculty, or staff member
- Have a valid HuskyNetID and password
- Have a built-in or installed wireless adapter.
Configuration Instructions
Note: The instructions provided below are for a BlackBerry mobile device. Depending on your device type, the instructions may vary.
- Select Set Up Wi-Fi on the main Menu Page
- Once on the Set Up Wi-Fi page, Select Scan For Networks
- If the Wi-Fi was switched off, BlackBerry will prompt for Turn Wi-Fi on. Select the option
- Of all the available networks On-Campus, select HuskyNet Wireless WPA.
- On the selection of HuskyNet Wireless WPA, the next page will prompt for the Wi-Fi Security options.
- For Security Type, Select PEAP
- In the Username and Password Field, type in the same credentials that will be used to log-in to the HuskyNet Account
- Ex. User name: abcd0901
- User password: typical email password
- The CA certificate option should be selected and from the following options, select the Entrust.net Secure Server CA
- With the options selected as following, click on the Connect tab.
If these settings are configured correctly you should connect automatically to the HuskyNet Wireless WPA network.
