Wireless Configuration with WPA

Requirements
In order to configure for and use wireless services provided by SCSU, you must:
- Be on campus
- Be a current student, faculty, or staff member
- Have a valid HuskyNetID and password
- Have a Windows Mobile 5 or 6 device.
- Have a built-in or installed wireless adapter.
Configuration Instructions
Note: The instructions provided below are for a Windows Mobile 6 smartphone. Depending on your device type and Windows Mobile version, the instructions may vary.
- From the Start Menu, navigate to the Communication Manager and
enable Wi-Fi. You may see a message about viewing a list
of available Wi-Fi networks. Click on No.
- Click on the Settings menu and select Wi-Fi
- From the Wi-Fi Settings screen, choose Wi-Fi Networks.
- You should now see a list of available wireless networks. Highlight HuskyNet
Wireless WPA and click Connect.
- Make sure the Network type is set to Internet and click Next.
- For Authentication choose WPA and for Data
encryption choose TKIP, then click Next.
- Make sure the checkbox for Use IEEE 802.1x network access control is checked.
Set the EAP type to PEAP. Click Next.
- Enter your HuskyNetID, password, and STCLOUDSTATE for
the domain.
If these settings are configured correctly you should connect automatically to the HuskyNet Wireless WPA network.
