MnSCU/ISRS Information

St. Cloud State University is part of the MnSCU (Minnesota State Colleges and Universities) group of higher education facilities in the state. The ISRS (Integrated Statewide Record System) is implemented at all the institutions in this group and supported by computer analysts and technical staff across the entire state. The record system includes campus information such as course registration, financial aid, accounting, purchasing, student payroll, etc.

Rights to ISRS Modules

Employees at St. Cloud State University may need access to various modules of the record system to perform their job tasks. Some of these modules would include the Purchasing Control System (PCS), the Student Payroll System, Term Course Maintenance, etc. Information about requesting rights to ISRS and the appropriate request forms for access to individual modules of the record system are available online at http://www.its.mnscu.edu/security/securityforms/index.html.

ISRS Replicated Data

MnSCU data is stored on a secure production server that processes changes such as student registration and accounting charges. The data is replicated on a storage source that may be accessed by employees who need to retrieve data for reporting purposes. Users generally utilize some software tool such as Microsoft Access to retrieve the data they need and produce reports from the data. The persons responsible for the specific data (student records, financial aid) will need to approve the individual’s rights to use the replicated database. To request access to the replicated database, use the Replicated Data Rights Request Form available at http://www.its.mnscu.edu/security/securityforms/mnscuinfosystems/index.html.
