Microsoft Certified Application Specialist (MCAS)

Microsoft Certified Application Specialist (MCAS) certification program is designed to
test professionals’ ability to utilize the features of Microsoft Office
applications, which include the most used Microsoft programs.
The MCAS credential validates skills in using the 2007 Microsoft Office system, meeting the demand for the most up-to-date skills on the latest Microsoft technologies. Candidates who successfully complete the program by passing a certification exam show that they can meet globally recognized performance standards.
This MCAS certification can be used as a way to provide proof to potential employers
of applicants’ and employees’ knowledge and abilities of Microsoft

The Testing Center at St. Cloud State is located in Centennial Hall 366. Each exam has a cost of $75.00 and includes the option of retaking an exam if you do not successfully pass the first time. Candidates must pass one certification exam in order to earn the MCAS credential.
