Classroom Performance System

Getting Started

To find out whether any of your courses are using the CPS, check the course tag in the Husky Bookstore or at www.husky.bkstr.com.

If you have a class that’s using SCSU’s Classroom Performance System, here’s what you need to do:

  1. Buy your response pad & registration card
    • Purchase your response pad for $21.50 by cash, check, credit card or Campus Cash at the Husky Bookstore.
    • Purchase your CPS registration card for $20 by cash, check, credit card or Campus Cash at the Husky Bookstore or use a credit card or check to purchase online for $10. (Follow step 3 below to purchase online.)
  2. Register your response pad online
You have to register your CPS response pad before you can use it. When you register it, you are given an ID that allows the system to track your responses for your class.
    1. Login to www.einstruction.com. Click "CPS Online Higher Ed Login for STUDENTS".
    2. Select "St. Cloud State Univ". Click "Choose Course".
    3. If setting up a new account, type in the entire serial number located on the back of your response pad and click "Create Your Account".
    4. Enter in all appropriate student info. All fields with "*" are required.
    5. Click Submit.
  3. Enroll your response pad into each class
    1. Obtain the Class Key from the Instructor for each class that uses the CPS. (This is usually printed in the syllabus.)
    2. Login to your account. Click "Enroll in Course".
    3. Input Class Key.
    4. Input Enrollment Code from the registration card (if already purchased from Bookstore).
    5. If no code is entered you will be prompted to purchase the enrollment code using a credit card or check.
    6. Click "Enter Class".

If you have problems with registering your response pad or enrolling your response pad into a class, call the eInstruction tech support line at 1-888-333-7532.

*You only need to buy one response pad. Please note that you need to purchase one registration card per semester even if you have multiple classes that use the CPS.

*Do not use your HuskyNet ID, your 8-digit student ID, your social security number, passwords for other accounts or your name for your user ID or any other identifying information when registering.
