About Distance Learning
St. Cloud State University offers a wide variety of distance learning opportunities at SCSU and also for students at remote locations. Distance learning provides students with greater flexibility in scheduling courses and presents a broader range of courses from which to choose. The following offices and services provide distance learning opportunities or support.

Center for Continuing Studies

SCSU’s Center for Continuing Studies offers a wide range of distance learning courses and staff to support distance learners.

Central Minnesota Distance Learning Network

The Central Minnesota Distance Learning Network provides interactive connectivity for delivering distance classes via two-way audio and video and also supports the recording and streaming of those classes.

Library Services for Distance Learning

Learning Resources Services offers a site on Library Services for Distance Learning.

D2L (Desire2Learn) Online Courses

D2L provides online Web-based course software. Many distance learning courses are supplemented with D2L and some are entirely taught online through D2L.
