St. Cloud State Hosts ResNet Symposium June 26-30

Sunday, June 15, 2008

St. Cloud State is honored to be hosting this year’s ResNet Symposium June 26-30. Technology specialists and administrators from across the U.S and Canada will be on campus for the symposium, which is the premier gathering for professionals at the intersection of IT, academics and college/university housing.

This is the 16th annual ResNet Symposium and St. Cloud State’s first opportunity to host it. This year’s theme is “10,000 Lakes, Infinite Ideas.” Technology specialists from academic institutions including Yale, Tufts and Stanford will present more than 25 sessions on topics ranging from Web application firewalls and Google Apps to teambuilding and understanding Generation Y.

The conference also includes a day of professional development seminars Friday, June 26, as well as a vendor fair.

Award-winning author, management columnist and professional speaker Paul Glen will present the keynote speech 9-10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 27. Glen is known worldwide as a Computerworld columnist, and his book “Leading Geeks: How to Manage and Lead People Who Deliver Technology” won the 2003 Financial Times Germany International Book Prize.

Please see http://resnetsymposium.org/resnet2009 for details. Registration is still available for the professional development seminars on Friday, the entire conference, or both.
