ResNet: SCSU's Residence Hall Network

 

Before You Start

ResNet will provide Quick Connect Guides (PDFs below) and network cables during move-in. In most cases, you will be able to get connected without any additional assistance. Additional information about ResNet and other computing technology can be found in the Student Technology Handbook.

Registration

To use your wired (Ethernet) connection, you will need to register you computer the first time you use it on the network. Registration is a Web-based process.
To register:

  • Open a Web browser
  • Follow the on-screen instructions
  • You will need your HuskyNetID and password to complete registration

Wireless users should follow the instructions in the ResNet Quick Connect Guides to get connected and authenticated to the network.

Quick Tip

ResNet Fall Setup Fair
The ResNet staff will be available to help you during the first week of classes at the Setup Fair:

September 4 - 7
8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Stearns Hall first floor

You can bring your computer to the fair to have it set up by our staff. If you have a desktop computer, you do not need to bring your monitor, keyboard or power cord. If you have a laptop please bring your power adapter. We do not charge for support services.

After the fair is over, ResNet staff are available for in-room appointments, phone support and drop-off service in our office.
