ResNet: SCSU's Residence Hall Network

Before You Start

ResNet will provide Quick Connect Guides and network cables during move-in. In most cases, you will be able to get connected without any additional assistance. Additional information about ResNet and other computing technology can be found in the Student Technology Handbook.

Wired (Ethernet Connections)

To use your wired (Ethernet) connection, you will need to register your computer the first time you use it on the network. Registration is a Web-based process.
To register:

• Open a Web browser.
• Follow the on-screen instructions.
• You will need your Student ID (8-digit number), HuskyNetID (first part of your SCSU email address), and password to complete registration.

Wireless

Wireless is available almost everywhere on campus. You will need to authenticate to the wireless network the first time you connect and each time you change your HuskyNet password. More information about wireless is available here. To connect:

• Connect to the HuskyNet Wireless wireless network.
• Browse to a web site such as www.stcloudstate.edu.
• You will be redirected to the Wireless Welcome Center.
• Follow the on-screen instructions.
• You will need your HuskyNetID (first part of your SCSU email address) and password to complete the connection.
