Status
Acrobat 8 is available on campus and is installed in the labs. Due to some major bugs, Acrobat 9 is not recommended at this time.
Description
Editing and conversion for the Portable Document Format (PDF) file type.
Version(s) and Support Level(s)
- Acrobat 9.0 is classified as Evaluation; ITS is currently in the process of evaluating this software for use and support at St. Cloud State University. This will be based on several factors, including St. Cloud State University's needs, functions and stability of the software.
- Acrobat 8.1 is classified as Full Adoption and Use; the software has been through the ITS evaluation process and has been approved for use on St. Cloud State University computers.
- Acrobat 7.0 is classified as Phase Out; the software has been replaced by a newer version or different application, or the manufacturer is no longer fully supporting the software. Recommendations are to upgrade to a newer version or application.
Availability
- Acrobat 8.1 is supported in labs and offices for Spring Semester 2009 and is available for purchase at the Computer Store for home and personal use.
