Take the Windows Vista Survey
Description
Windows Vista, Microsoft's newest operating system was released in January
2007. Vista is an upgrade to the Windows operating system, currently Windows
XP Professional. Planning is underway to determine how the new operating system
will be rolled out to campus. There are several factors that will determine how
we transition to Vista - particularly for older model PCs and those who expect
to make purchases of computers throughout the year. Newer model PCs will be Vista-capable,
meaning the software will be easily installed and the full user experience can
be utilized.
Limited Vista Support
Please be aware that SCSU is currently
providing LIMITED support for the Windows Vista operating system. Due to the
abundance of changes with this new version of Windows, we are currently testing
the new operating system for compatibility with SCSU systems and software applications.
Our HelpDesk will try to address any problems you may have with your Windows
Vista operating system, but we are unable to guarantee that your Windows Vista
system will be compatible with all SCSU applications and services at
this time.
