Wireless Configuration for Android

Follow these instructions to configure your Android device for use on the St. Cloud State wireless network


In order to configure for and use wireless services provided by St. Cloud State, you must:

  • Be on campus
  • Be a current student, faculty, or staff member
  • Have a valid StarID and password

Configuration Instructions

Note: The instructions provided below are for a Android Phone running OS 2.2. Depending on your device type and Android version, the instructions may vary.

  1. From the Main Page, press the option key, and select Settings
  2. Click on the Wireless & networks menu.


  1. Choose Wi-Fi settings (turn on if it is not on).
  2. You should now see a list of available wireless networks. Select HuskyNet Secure


  1. Choose EAP method PEAP, and Phase 2 authentication MSCHAPV2.


  1. Leave User Certificate (unspecified).
  2. Under Identity, enter your StarID,
  3. Leave Anomymous Identity empty.
  4. Enter your HuskyNet password under password.
  5. Click Connect



If these settings are configured correctly you should connect automatically to the HuskyNet Secure network.
